All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.
Accurate contact details (phone number and email address) must be provided at the time of booking to allow for essential communication.
Where a person or group books more than one sailing date, full payment for all booked dates is required before travel on the first sailing date.
No sailing will take place unless full payment for all booked dates has been received.
Payments
A deposit is required at the time of booking to secure a place.
The remaining balance is payable on the day of travel, unless full advance payment is required under the multiple-date booking rule above.
Failure to pay the required deposit will result in cancellation.
Weather & Operational Cancellations
All sailings are entirely dependent on weather conditions, sea state, safety considerations, and operational requirements.
The Skipper’s decision is final in relation to sailing, landing, delays, or cancellation.
Where a trip is cancelled by the operator due to weather, safety, or operational reasons, all monies paid will be refunded in full, less the Booking & Administration Fee.
The operator is not responsible for any additional costs incurred by customers, including accommodation, travel, or other related expenses.
Customer Cancellations & No-Shows
Groups of four (4) or more
Cancellations made less than 28 days prior to departure, or failure to attend, will result in no refund.
Groups of three (3) or fewer
Cancellations made more than 7 days prior to departure will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made within 7 days or less of departure, or failure to attend, will result in no refund.
No-Shows
Failure to arrive at the designated meeting point on time, or failure to make contact when requested, will be treated as a no-show.
Non-Refundable Booking & Administration Fee
There is a 5% Booking & Administration Fee.
This fee is non-refundable under all circumstances, including:
Cancellation by the customer
Weather disruption
Operational changes
Landing & Access
Landing on Skellig Michael is subject to OPW approval, weather conditions, and safety considerations.
Access to the monastery steps is not guaranteed and is assessed on the day by OPW Guide Staff and the Skipper.
No refund will be provided where a visitor is unable or unwilling to proceed due to personal fitness, footwear, or other individual reasons.
Conduct & Compliance
Visitors must comply with all instructions given by the Skipper, crew, and OPW Guide Staff at all times.
The operator reserves the right to refuse boarding or landing, or to remove a passenger from the vessel or the Island, where behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, or non-compliant.
No refund will be provided in such circumstances.
Liability
Participation in the tour is at the visitor’s own risk.
The operator accepts no liability for loss, damage, injury, or delay arising from conditions beyond their control.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects the customer’s statutory consumer rights.
Acceptance of Terms
By completing a booking, customers confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions, together with the associated General Information and Itinerary for the tour.
